Call it Christmas in June.
On the final day of the month, the SU Football team received verbal commitments from two different players in offensive lineman Kyle Knapp from Michigan and defensive tackle Marcus Coleman from New Jersey.
This is the 7th verbal commit for Doug Marrone's staff since June 23rd, and the 12th overall in the Class of 2012.
The verbal commits, while usually upheld, aren't binding until the student-athletes sign letters of intent in February. If they follow through with that, they would be on the SU Hill next summer.
Syracuse opens up the 2011 season 2 months from today, when they host Wake Forest on Thursday, September 1st.
