The calendar officially reads "July" and with that we are officially less than 2 months away from the SU Football season opener against Wake Forest September 1st in the Carrier Dome.
It's crazy to think it's that close from being here, and as junior safety Shamarko Thomas put it "It feels like the Pinstripe Bowl was just yesterday".
No doubt, there's high hopes for the 2011 team coming off the program's first bowl win since 2001 but it's hard to put any gage on just how good the team will be until training camp opens in August.
The Orange returns all but one starter on a much improved offensive line that should provide plenty of holes for Antwon Bailey and Prince-Tyson Gulley and don't forget Ryan Nassib's back with most of his receiving corps as well.
The defense does lose several starters but if there's one thing we've learned it's that Scott Shafer's unit always shows up and harrasses the quarterback.
