The annual Syracuse Crunch Celebrity Street Hockey Game is a staple of the summer for local media, and so is Wayne Mahar's stingy goaltending.
Wayne made an incredible 38 saves which were aided by Crunch C-O-O Jim Sarosy's 3 goals, and "Team Kramer" (Post-Standard Writer Lindsay Kramer) beat Team Axe (Score 1260 Radio Host Brent Axe) 4-1.
Team Axe's only goal came on a rebound by Niko Tamurian in the 2nd period, but it was the only offensive bright spot for the "Orange" team.
