On Saturday we were treated to an exciting story of the younger Onondaga Team-Two upsetting its older counterparts from Onondaga Team-One.
On Sunday, order was restored.
Team-One fended off elimination in mercy-rule fashion taking out Team-Two 13-2 in four innings. The "orange" team prompty followed that up with a 13-3 win in game two, earning the right to represent the Mid-Atlantic Region in the Babe Ruth World Series.
With the win, Team-One will head to the Babe Ruth World Series in Ephrata, Washington from August 6-13. Local baseball fans though, have to be excited for the future of the program after seeing what Team-Two did.
Stay tuned in the coming weeks to see if Central New York will crown a Babe Ruth World Series Champion.
