Cicero-North Syracuse High School basketball star Breanna Stewart is ready to add another championship chapter to her young resume, advancing with Team U.S.A. to the title game of the FIBA Under 19 Women's Basketball World Championship.
Stewart scored 6 points and pulled down 9 rebounds in a 82-66 win over Brazil in Chile on Saturday night, advancing to Sunday's title game when they'll face Spain. Stewart also added 2 blocks in the victory.
The win comes just one night after Stewart pulled off a double-double in Team U.S.A.'s quarterfinal win over France, scoring 10 of her 21 points in the fourth quarter and contributing 13 rebounds.
Bria Hartley led team U.S.A. with 20 points in Saturday's semifinal victory. Hartley is a future college teammate of Stewart at the University of Connecticut.
