DeaconsIllustrated.com the Wake Forest franchise of Rivals.com is reporting that Jamesville-Dewitt senior forward Tyler Cavanaugh will play basketball at Wake Forest. Spurning multiple other big programs.

Cavanaugh has risen steadily among seniors, and at 6'8" he poses many problems for opposing defenses.

Several outlets have reported he had a Syracuse offer in hand as well, but that is not immediately clear.

Orange fans would've liked the local product to stay home, but it was love at first sight for Cavanaugh and Wake Forest according to the Rivals.com article.

"As soon as I got on the (Wake) campus I knew that was where I wanted to be" Cavanaugh told Rivals.

Of course, Tyler will still get to play in the Carrier Dome... when SU joins the ACC and is a conference foe of the Demon Deacons.
