There are several teams in Section III that have started the 2011 campaign at 4-0, but the dominant fashion that East Syracuse-Minoa High School has displayed has local fans in awe.
The Spartans are averaging 45 points per game and truly have not been challenged all season long. The team's closest contest was a 27-6 victory on the road, two hours north in Carthage. One look at the margins of victory in ES-M's other three games tell the story as well. Wins of 40-15, 53-6, and 53-20 over West Seneca West, Fowler, and Cortland respectively.
Despite that dominance, a tough battle looms this Friday night at Spartan Stadium when ES-M hosts its rival New Hartford. The "other" Spartans have displaced ES-M three out of the last four Section III tournaments.
That game is our Toyota High School Game of the Week, and we'll have full highlights and reaction from it on Friday Night Lights at 11:15 on NBC-3
