The High School football regular season has come to a close and several teams enter the post season with perfect records.
East Syracuse-Minoa made short work of Fulton, 54-0 finishing a perfect regular season. Tyler Johnson threw for three touchdowns, and Jeffrey McDuffie had his way with the Raider defense including a 74 yard punt return for a score in the win. ES-M though, isn't alone at the top in Class A as Whitesboro also capped off a perfect year on Thursday disposing of its rival from New Hartford. No word yet on which of those teams will earn the #1 seed in Class A, but in reality it's a matchup that fans are hoping is a #1 vs. #2 championship game at the Carrier Dome.
In Class AA, CBA remained perfect against teams from New York State with a 41-25 victory over RFA. RFA closed the gap to 18-13 in favor of CBA when Aaron Tenant rushed for a touchdown but on the ensuing kickoff Mike Vavonese went 95 yards on the return for the touchdown. The only undefeated team in Class AA now is West Genesee who plays Henninger on Saturday.
