There are many NBA players who don't know quite what to do with themselves during the NBA lockout, but former Orange star Andy Rautins knows exactly what to do. He's back at his childhood home in Syracuse, living with his parents. A story on Yahoo Sports today says that Andy is back sleeping in his childhood room and enjoying the home cooking that comes with living with Mom and Dad. And while it's nice to soak in the comforts of home, Andy is keeping very busy while back in the Cuse.
"I've been working out at the Melo Center here," he told CNYCentral as he took in Tuesday's Orange exhibition game, "staying at home trying to save some money during the lockout. It's been really advantageous working out with Coach Hopkins and getting good workouts in, but I'm gonna head out to L.A. Soon and get some workouts there with some NBA players too."
Andy is hoping to be able to kick off his second season with the New York Knicks soon, but according to another article from ESPN New York, Rautins is seeking out an internship at the Manhattan law firm of his financial advisor.
"It's very unnerving not knowing when your next paycheck is going to come, or when you're gonna be able to play basketball again."
