You'll see her featured on NBC-3 on Thanksgiving Thursday as our CNY Central Athlete, but Claire Minnoe's accomplishments were so impressive we couldn't wait until then to tell you about.
Claire, a junior at Auburn High School, finished third at the New York State Tennis Tournament which is the furthest anyone from Section III has ever advanced.
Obviously, by earning a berth in the state tournament she won the Section III crowd; her fourth in a row. Claire has dominated Section III, and you may have done the math by now but the fact that she's a junior means she's won Section III every year since she was in 8th grade.
Minnoe's junior year may have just ended but says her goal for next year, her senior year, is to win that New York State Championship.
