It's finally here, #11 Georgetown (18-4) vs. #2 Syracuse (23-1) and potentially, for one of the last times before the Orange bolts for the ACC....which by the way, could happen sooner than we all thought according to this, from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Whether this is SU's last year in the Big East or not is irrelevant to how intense Wednesday's game with the Orange and Hoyas will be. Syracuse is clearly the class of the Big East, ranked #2 in the nation and would like nothing more than to add another quality win over #11 Georgetown.

The Hoyas have been a true Jeckyll and Hyde this year, losing back to back games to West Virginia and Cincinnati, but rebounding to win 5 out of their last six, winning their last two by 44 combined points (over UConn and South Florida).

G'Town still features some of  those names that you've become accustomed to seeing over the past couple years in Jason Clark, Hollis Thompson, Henry Sims and Markel Starks among others. While Clark leads the Hoyas in scoring at 15.2 points per game they get rebounding from just about everybody, with five players averaging at least four rebounds per game.

An interesting side note in this game, there are some Orange players that Georgetown recruited heavily and in even had committed to them. Kris Joseph was recruiting hard by the Hoyas before coming to the Orange.  Rakeem Christmas actually was committed to Georgetown, before reneging on that oral pledge and coming to Syracuse. Future Orange player Jerami Grant also had a G'town offer, before signing with the 'Cuse.

Overall, it should be another Syracuse vs. Georgetown classic, and potentially, as mentioned, the last one in the Carrier Dome. So enjoy it Orange Nation, and let us know...who do you think will win?
