Dion Waiters didn't wait long to end the speculation, through a statement released by Syracuse University Monday night the sophomore sensation declared he would enter the NBA Draft.

"I've decided to pursue my dream of becoming a professional basketball player by entering my name in the NBA Draft this spring. I plan on signing with an agent.

"I want to thank my coaches and my teammates. I've had an amazing experience at Syracuse University.

"I also want to thank all the Syracuse basketball fans. They are the best in college basketball." said Waiters in his statement.

Dion averaged just over 12 points per game in the 2011-2012 season and is expected to be a first round pick in June's NBA Draft.

Most projections have him being selected in the latter portion of the first round.

When Waiters signs with an agent, as he states he will do above, he will not be able to change his mind.
