It was a dream come true for Chandler Jones, the former Syracuse University defensive end was selected by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

The Patriots were originially slotted as the 27th pick in the draft, but they made a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals to grab the 21st selection and chose Jones with that pick.

Jones was a junior eligiblity wise, after a redshirt freshman year, but is set to complete his degree. Jones was in Ithaca, at his brother and UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon "Bones" Jones' house for the draft.

Chandler figures to continue to develop into a big time player in the NFL, hence why his draft stock soared in recent weeks.
