The Turning Stone Resort and Casino already offers some of the best golfing facilities in Central New York, but now it's the place to go if you want to take your putting game to a whole new level. Anybody who watches the Golf Channel has more then likely heard of the AimPoint Green Reading Series, an unprecedented system that teaches golfers of all levels to aim and putt with amazing accuracy. Turning Stone is now one of only three sites in the state of New York with an AimPoint Green Reading Program. The Clinics promise to "take the guesswork out of putting" by teaching students to "discover the most effective and reliable ways to determine the direction and precise amount of break for any putt."

"The success we are having with the AimPoint program has been unbelievable," said Marty Nowicki, a Turning Stone PGA professional and certified AimPoint instructor. "People make putts from everywhere and can read every putt on the green."

The CNYCentral Sportsteam was able to get a taste for the course at the Shenendoah Course under the direction of Nowicki. The very clinic instruction included....

• How to accurately identify slope

• How slope direction and grade affect break

• How the golfer's position on the slope influences break and speed

• How to identify your position on the slope

• How to determine precise break amounts based on position

• How to handle changing or multiple slopes

• How position relates to speed control

• How to determine optimum approach shot strategies

**Click on the video link to watch an interview with Nowicki, and to see him transform John Evenson and Niko Tamurian into near expert putters.**

Clinics are to be held the first three Saturdays of May (May 5, 12 and 19) from 9 a.m. to noon. Each clinic is $200 per person. Private and small group lessons can be scheduled in advance on other days, with a minimum of three students required. To register for an AimPoint clinic at Turning Stone Resort, or to inquire about custom lessons, call (315) 382-3662 or email Marty.Nowicki@onenterprises.com.
