As the Syracuse Chiefs return home to take on the Norfolk Tides on Friday Night, there'll be a whole lot of pink to go around. The team will be hosting it's secind annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night, raising money for the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of Central New York. The Chiefs are hoping fans come out for the "Pink Cocktail Party" at the Hank Sauer Room, a chance to rub shoulders with Carol M. Baldwin and her son, actor Billy Baldwin. Admission to the party is $50 per person and includes dinner, a game ticket, and parking pass. The Baldwins will also throw out the game's ceremonial first pitches.

"As an organization, we're glad to support such a worthy cause like the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of Central New York," says Chiefs General Manager John Simone, "Hopefully, even if it's only in small way, we can contribute to finding a cure."

"We're really blessed in this community to have the Baldwin family," says Lawrence Segal, a Chiefs employee and Carol M. Baldwin Fund volunteer, "to have Alec and Billy and Stephen and Daniel and their sisters Jane and Beth were very actively involved here with their Mom Carol Baldwin, and our community to raise money for Breast cancer research. And it's a great night, you get to watch a baseball game, and when you come to the party you are part of something really special."

All of the Chiefs players and coaches will all be wearing pink and black uniforms and hats for the game, while some will also use pink batting gloves, pink bats and mitts. Alliance Bank Stadium's Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Awareness merchandise cart will be set up on the concourse, selling Pink bracelets, t-shirts, flip-flops, lanyards, and rings.

Last year's Breast Cancer Awareness Night at Alliance Bank Stadium raised $6,000 for breast cancer research. The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of CNY has raised more than $7 million for research.
