While Kris Joseph made an improbable return to play on Thursday night after hyperextending his knee in the previous game, it was Fab Melo's services that were in question by the time the night was over. Melo hurt his left wrist in the third quarter of the Boston Celtic's 91-82 loss to Sacramento in the Las Vegas Summer League. Melo's watched the remainder of the game from the bench with his hand iced, but there's no official word on if Melo will be able to play against the Milwaukee Bucks this weekend.
Fellow former Orange player Kris Joseph, meanwhile, scored just five points in over 12 minutes of action, and missed two 3-point shots. Joseph pulled down 4 rebounds in the loss.
Dion Waiters was the brightest of the former Orange on Thursday night, scoring 16 points for Cleveland in a 89-74 Cavs victory over Phoenix. Waiters also managed 4 rebounds and 2 asists in just over 28 minutes of playing time.
