After winning her first gold medal of the 2012 games in dominating fashion, Syracuse born swimmer Dana Vollmer won her second gold on Wednesday in the women's 4x200 swimming relay.

Vollmer swam the second leg of the race, with fellow Americans Missy Franklin, Shannon Vreeland and Allison Schmitt finishing out the squad.

They defeated the silver medalist Australians after trailing much of the race, but Allison Schmitt once again showed why she's already won a gold medal herself, chasing down Aussie swimmer Alicia Coutts for the gold medal.
