Andy Rautins looks to storm back to the NBA with Thunder

Former Syracuse University basketball star Andy Rautins is hoping to storm back into the NBA with the Oklahoma Thunder.

Andy's father Leo Rautins has confirmed to CNYCentral that Andy Rautins has been invited to the Thunder's training camp, which starts on October 1.

Rautins sat on Oklahoma City's bench this summer at the Orlando Summer League, while the rehabilitation process continued on his lower leg from injuries suffered in Spain. In Spain, he played for the professional team Lucentum Alicante.

The 6-foot 5-inch tall Rautins, who played for SU from 2005 to 2010, was selected by the New York Knicks in the 2010 NBA Draft before appearing in a handful of games in his first season.

The Knicks traded Rautins to Dallas last year, but Rautins went on to play in Europe after the Mavericks waived him a few days later.
