As the SU Football Team prepares for Stony Brook this weekend, the team announced on Tuesday night that wide receiver and kickoff return player Jeremiah Kobena will miss the next few weeks. Kobena will have surgery to repair an upper body injury.
The Sophomore, who was used mostly as a kick return specialist last year, was making the most of his role as wide receiver so far this year, snagging four passes for 79 yards and two touchdowns on the season opener against Northwestern. He only made one reception for 22 yards in Saturday's loss to USC. Kobena has also returned 9 kickoffs so far this season.
