SYRACUSE, NY - Former Syracuse standout Scoop Jardine and Jazmine Jordan, current SU student and daughter of NBA legend Michael Jordan, will co-host the 2012 AmericCU Credit Union Orange Madness presented by TK99. The event is scheduled for Friday, October 12.

The featured entertainment for Orange Madness includes rapper Wale, a BET and Soul Train awards winner who has two studio albums under his belt (Attention Deficit and Ambition) and a third due in early 2013.

Syracuse fans are encouraged to dress in orange, break out the "Big Heads" and ignite "the Loud House," all to enhance the viewing experience on ESPNU and ESPN3.com, which will televise the event.

Orange Madness will offer SU basketball fans the chance to see the 2012-13 editions of the men's and women's team for the first time this fall. Both programs are coming off 20-win campaigns and postseason appearances. Scrimmages and drills from the men's and women's basketball teams will take place as well as a dunk contest and other activities.

Coach Jim Boeheim heads into his 37th season at the helm of the nationally-ranked men's program with returning starters C.J. Fair and Brandon Triche. The women's team has seniors Kayla Alexander, Elashier Hall, Carmen Tyson-Thomas and junior Rachel Coffey - each a returning starter, back in the fold for Coach Quentin Hillsman.

Doors will open for Orange Madness at 7:00 p.m. with the event scheduled to get underway at 8:00 p.m.
