SYRACUSE -- On the coldest night of the fall to date, most Section III football teams finished up their regular seasons, some solidifying their playoff spots in sectionals, with the official seedings will be announced on Sunday.

Two undefeated teams were tested Friday night, as they both tried to secure a number one seed in their respective classes. In Class AA,  6-0 CBA battled a scrappy Corcoran squad and pulled out a 37-20 victory over the Cougars.

The Chittenango Bears also put their undefeated record on the line, visiting the Cortland Purple Tigers. The scoring was contained to just the first half, as Chittenango clung to a one point lead, eventually pulling out a 14-13 victory.
