SYRACUSE -- The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball has been ranked # 9 on the USA Today-ESPN men’s college basketball preseason poll.
Indiana was voted in as the # 1 ranked team with a total of 21 first place votes. The top Big East team is Louisville who is ranked at # 2.
The Cardinals, along with Kentucky, received five first place votes each. The only other Big East Team in the poll is Notre Dame AT # 23. San Diego State, who is SU’s opening game opponent, is ranked # 20 on the poll.
Earlier today the Orange were picked to finish # 2 on the Big East Coaches Poll, with Louisville picked to win the Big East crown.
