The Syracuse Orange Football Team gained a three-star recruit from Florida on Wednesday night when Malik Brown officially committed to the team.

The senior defensive end from Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida wrote on his Twitter page "I so blessed to say that tonight I officially committed to Syracuse University." Dwyer High School's Twitter page also tweeted out Brown's decision.

"It was great," Brown told 247 Sports about his visit to Syracuse in early December, "I felt at home. The coaches made me feel welcomed. So did the players. I had a very good time."

Brown is listed as a 6-foot-3, 215-pound defensive end. He was highly sought after for his speed, combined with aggression and power. He chose Syracuse over Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, Illinois, Minnesota, Purdue and South Florida among other schools.
