SYRACUSE -- The New York Post’s Zach Braziller is reporting that John Anselmo may be the next Orange assistant hired by new Buffalo Bills and former Orange head coach Doug Marrone.

Braziller tweeted on Thursday afternoon "John Anselmo leaves Syracuse to join Doug Marrone on Bills staff"

This would be the seventh Syracuse University assistant coach Marrone has hired since being hired on with the Bills, and a very significant loss for the Orange. Anselmo was key to opening up recruiting in the New York City area.

The news comes on the same day that SU Athletics announced wide receivers coach Rob Moore and defensive line coach Tim Daoust will be staying to help coach SU Football, along with new head coach Scott Shafer. In fact, Braziller is also reporting that Moore’s duties may involve filling the role left by Anselmo.

Braziller tweeted, "Hearing Syracuse assistant Rob Moore, a Long Island product, may be the new city recruiter."
