SYRACUSE -- After winning seven games in a row, the Syracuse Crunch lost their second game in a row in overtime to the Rochester Americans on Saturday night.
Rochester's Mark Mancari began the scoring in the first period with a power play goal, and the 1-0 Americans lead would stay the same until the third period, when Ondrej Palat scored a powerplay goal of his own for Syracuse. The teams were held at one at the end of regulation which forced overtime. After the Crunch were unable to take advantage of a powerplay in overtime, Rochester's Brayden McNabb scored with a man advantage to take the sudden death 2-1 victory.
The Crunch now hits the road for a four-game road trip, starting in Hershey tomorrow at 5 p.m.
