Section III basketball championships will take place throughout the weekend at the Carrier Dome, but on Wednesday night it was two of the "smaller" schools stealing the show

Oriskany battled New York Mills for the Class D girls basketball championship and one Oriskany star put on an incredible display.

Christina Graziadei scored 31 points...yes...31 points and grabbed 17 rebounds as well as Oriskany topped its rival from New York Mills 40-37 for the Section III championship.

New York Mills briefly took a third quarter lead at 23-22 but from there Graziadei took over and everytime the Marauders got close, Graziadei was there to put the game out of reach.

With the win, Oriskany improves to 20-0 and now moves onto next week's New York State Playoffs.

While the Redskins started all of the fun, Thursday night it continues with three more Section III championshps.

The Class A title game between J-D and Whitesboro has been postponed until Saturday night.
