SYRACUSE -- The Syracuse Orange pride themselves as “New York’s College Team", but the SU Football team is heading into the weekend knowing that one of New York State’s top recruits has gotten away.
Three star running back Augustus Edwards has decommitted to the Syracuse Football program according to Scout.com. The 6-foot-1 Staten Island product says he’ll now be deciding between Florida State and Miami.
Edwards, who verbally committed to Syracuse in the summer, had been pondering the change of plans since former Orange head coach Doug Marrone left Syracuse to become the Buffalo Bills new head coach.
