SYRACUSE (AP) -- Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim's 14th annual Basket Ball Gala will be held at Turning Stone Resort and Casino on April 27th.
The Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation will lead an evening of music, dinner, dancing, entertainment, and auctions to raise funds for cancer and help children in need. Excellus BlueCross BlueShield is the primary sponsor.
Boeheim says all proceeds from the gala will be distributed in the Syracuse area. Since the Boeheims created their foundation, they've raised over $1 million for 70 local charities.
The Temptations performed at the gala in 2003 in the aftermath of the Orange's national championship and the Boeheims are hoping the group can make an encore performance next month. A master of ceremonies has not been announced.
