Just days after Syracuse Orange football players Marquis Spruill were in court, Head Coach Doug Marrone released a statement about the status of the two players.

The statement sent by Syracuse Athletics says "Syracuse University football coach Doug Marrone today announced that following a completed assessment of the facts regarding the December incident involving juniors Marquis Spruill and Steven Rene, he has taken team disciplinary action, including that Spruill will not play a significant portion of the upcoming bowl game, and Rene will not play a significant portion of the next game in which is he medically cleared to participate."

Just how much of the contest  is "significant" remains to be seen for both players.

Spruill and Rene were arrested early on Sunday, December 2nd for a number of misdemeanor charges following a party on the SU Hill.

CNY Central will have full coverage from the Pinstripe Bowl in the Bronx next weekend.
