The New York Jets are returning to the campus of SUNY Cortland for the third time in the past four years (last year the lockout ruined Cortland's NFL experience).
The Jets, with Tim Tebow, Mark Sanchez and company will arrive in Central New York on July 26th, with the first practice open to the public on July 28th.
Rex Ryan, from the beginning of his tenure in New York in 2009 has cited Cortland's location as an instrumental reason for the Jets eventual regular season success.
"Since I've been the head coach, our time in Cortland has been very important to the development of our football team both on and off the field," said Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan. "The support that we receive from the College is top notch and the time that we spend in that environment enables us to focus on getting better while learning about each other and drawing closer together as a team."
The last time the Jets were at Cortland, 2010, the campus saw 41,000 visitors with an estimated 5.8 million dollars pumped into the regional economy.
Of course, while most eyes are on Tebow and Sanchez, a developing storyline is that of Darrelle Revis. Revis could potentially hold out, just like he did for a little while in 2010.
