Just when Orange fans thought "continuity" was achieved by the apparent hiring of Scott Shafer as Head Coach, and in a lot of ways it still has been, Doug Marrone has brought one of his top assistants to the Bills.

According to Tim Graham of The Buffalo News, Nathaniel Hackett will become the new Offensive Coordinator for the Buffalo Bills. It's the same title he held at Syracuse from 2010-2012.

Under Hackett's tutilege the Orange offense was on fire this year, and Ryan Nassib broke all sorts of Syracuse passing records.

While it appears likely many offensive assistants will still remain with the Orange, it's still a big blow to lose Hackett.

Certainly, Scott Shafer is at the AFCA conference in Tennessee talking to plenty of potential viable candidates, but that remains to be seen.

Shafer, according to the AP, will be introduced as Syracuse's head coach on Thursday.
