SYRACUSE (AP) -- Former Syracuse lacrosse player Brett Bucktooth heads a contingent of members of the Onondaga Indian Nation who will be special guests at the White House on Monday morning.

Their appearance is part of first lady Michelle Obama's program to get kids into active and healthy lifestyles.

Students will participate in lacrosse stations on the South Lawn that will demonstrate both the traditional and modern forms of the game. It's a first for the sport, with people from the Syracuse area playing a major role.

Leadership from the White House, Department of the Interior and the National Museum of the American Indian will join lacrosse stars Danny Glading, Matt Danowski, Bucktooth, and Jenny Collins as well as traditional lacrosse stick maker Alf Jaques, former Orange star Oren Lyons and Sid Hill.
