SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner is set to announce today whether she will seek a second term as mayor of Syracuse.

Miner’s office notified the media Tuesday that she will make a formal announcement of her intentions at a noon news conference. The announcement is scheduled to take place at Syracuse’s Inner Harbor.

Miner, a Democrat, defeated Republican Steve Kimatian in 2009 to replace former mayor Matt Driscoll. The Republican Party has not announced a candidate for this November’s election.

CNY Central will carry Miner’s announcement live right here on CNYcentral.com.
