NEW YORK CITY -- Former Syracuse Orange star and current New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony was a guest on NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” Monday night, and reminisced with the host about his lone season in Syracuse.

In the approximately six-minute interview, Anthony and Fallon talked about the tenth anniversary of the 2003 national championship (accompanied by a vintage photo), SU’s retirement of Anthony’s jersey later this month, and the newest basketball shoes he endorses.

“That’s where it all started for me” said ‘Melo. “I sit back and I look at that, I watch the old footage, the old games, yeah. Absolutely. I watch the Syracuse games now, and I feel like I’m still there.”

Anthony says his entire family will be present when his jersey is retired vs. Georgetown on February 23. He said he wants his son to witness the college atmosphere, because “he WILL be going to college.” No word on which college that might be.
