The Syracuse real estate market is struggling to move forward. Realtor.com data shows homes in the CNY area are on the market for 132 days. That is one of the worst numbers in the nation. Several local real estate companies and agents have taken exception with that information today.

Mark Re of RealtyUSA.com tells CNYCentral homes in the Syracuse area are on the market for 62 days. He says the median price is $132,000 which is a slight increase over a year ago. Re says pricing homes correctly is the key to selling right now.

John Arquette, owner/operator of John Arquette Properties, came to the CNYCentral studios for The Talk segment. He says housing inventory has been shrinking over the six months. He describes the Central New York market as one of the strongest since the summer of 2006 before the recession.
