SYRACUSE -- St. Patrick's season kicked off on Sunday on Tip Hill in Syracuse with a parade.

Hundreds of people come from around the area to celebrate this Irish holiday. The one item that everyone wants to get a taste of at this celebration is green beer.

This Sunday is known as green beer Sunday here in Central New York. More than 6,000 gallons of green beer was on tap for people to drink and celebrate with. Part of this celebration was to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Coleman's Authentic Irish Pub hosting this event. Part of Sunday’s green beer celebration was to join several cultures together.

Marybeth Baycura plays in the Syracuse Scottish Pipe Band. "I think that everybody, whether you're Scottish, Irish, Polish. They come out just to have a good time and to celebrate with friends," says Baycura.
