It's just what the doctor ordered.
The Syracuse Orange mens basketball team bounced back from three straight losses by defeating DePaul 78-57 in front of 22,380 fans at the Carrier Dome on Wednesday night.
It was a milestone victory in the sense that it was the final Carrier Dome game for Brandon Triche and James Southerland. It was also the final Big East Conference game to be played at the Dome.
It was fitting that it was Southerland's last game as the senior recorded his first double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Brandon Triche also said farewell in fashion with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
CJ Fair was solid, as always with 16 points and 7 assists and Rakeem Christmas showed flashes of greatness on defense and scored 6 points with 6 rebounds.
Syracuse's next game is the regular season finale as the Orange travels to Washington D.C. to play Georgetown, two weeks after the Hoyas took down the Orange by 11 in front of a record Carrier Dome crowd.
After that, it's off to the Big East Tournament at Madison Square Garden.
