A mere 48 hours after highly touted quarterback prospect Zach Allen decided to commit to TCU instead of Syracuse, it appears Scott Shafer is already hitting the recruiting trail.

Tom Loy of 247 sports in Florida reports that Syracuse offered a scholarship to quarterback John O'Korn of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

O'Korn is currently committed to Houston, but has offers from Arkansas, Louisville, Mississippi State, North Carolina, and Central Florida in addition to the new one from Syracuse.

He's a 3 star prospect that's 6'4" 210 lbs. and with the departure of Ryan Nassib, one would figure O'Korn and current Orange commit Austin Wilson will contend for immediate playing time.

John wrote on his Twitter page today "Blessed to receive another scholarship offer today! Syracuse University!!!!"
