It was a lovely day for a swim Saturday at the Burnet Park Pool on Tipperary Hill.

400 of the best swimmers in Upstate New York are competing in the Niagara District Long Course Swimming Championships.

Swimmers from Buffalo to Syracuse, Watertown to Binghamton and everywhere in between took part in the three day meet that will conclude Sunday.

Swimmers as young as 10 all the way to 20 are competing to advance to the next tournament held in Maryland next month.

Tournament organizers say it's the first time Syracuse has hosted the event in 10 years.
