State Regional Football
Baldwinsville: 49 Corning: 20 F
Tyler Rouse led the Bees back to the Class AA state semi-finals with a four touchdown performance.
The Bees held a narrow 21-20 lead at the half, but the B'ville ground game got going in the second half to put the game out of reach.
After a Parker Kiff touchdown run, Rouse scored on run of 49 and 63 yards to give the Bees the 49-20 victory. Rouse also had a kickoff return touchdown in the game.
Baldwinsville outscored Corning 28-0 in the second half.
The Bees will be back in the semi-final round for the second consecutive year.
General Brown: 21 Chenango Forks: 20
General Brown survived a late game surge Chenango Forks to beat the # 1 ranked team in the state 21-20. It was payback, of sorts, for General Brown who was beaten by the Blue Devils in the 2009 State playoffs. General Brown advances to a state semifinal game against Fredonia next Saturday in Rochester.
