What a day it was for Onondaga Central grad Latavius Murray. He rushed 20 times for 94 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 21 yards and a touchdown in Central Florida's 17-7 win over SMU in the Conference USA Title game.
Murray's size at 6'3" 221 lbs. makes him a formidable presence at halfback, and cleary the Mustangs couldn't solve him.
Murray signed on to play at UCF out of high school at Onondaga. He briefly toyed with the idea of coming home to play for SU before returning to the Knights for a stellar 2010 campaign. So far this season, Murray has compiled 9 touchdowns to go along with over 400 rushing yards.
The Knights now go on to the Liberty Bowl where they will meet ether a team from the SEC or Big East. Probably Georgia or Louisville.
