The scene on the field at Yankee Stadium was a far cry from what Daryl Gross was dealing with two years ago when he first hired Doug Marrone.
SU football had dealt with a lot of ups and downs over the better part of a decade. But the Orange celebration on the field and in the stands of Yankee Stadium made the wait all that more sweet.
There were a lot of smiles and tears of joy, and Dr. Gross was smack in the middle of it all. He joined John Evenson on the field after the game.
