Many high school games were cancelled on Friday because of the impending weather, but the games that were played were well worth taking in. JD/CBA hockey hosted Skaneateles in  game that went down to the wire. The Lakers' Jacob Cooney weaved through the "d" with just over three minutes to play and was able to send home what would end up being the game winning goal, as Skaneateles topped JD/CBA 2-1.

In boys basketball, Onondaga hosted the Syracuse Academy of Science in a game that would decide first place in their division. Both teams battled the entire way, and OCS only led by two at halftime. OCS though, was able to pull away in the fourth for a 70-57 victory.
