The 2011 Jamesville-Dewitt "half-dozen" were honored on Friday afternoon, six J-D athletes signing Division One Letters of Intent. Two of them are heading to Binghamton University, Matt Kopp for lacrosse and Emily Nuss for soccer. Five lacrosse players signed on in total, including Tim Edwards who is headed to Canisius college, Dan DiStephano with University of Vermont, and Nicolas Firman with Mount St. Mary's University. It was Alex Hatem who was wearing the hometown colors ,signing on with the Syracuse Orange lacrosse team, an opportunity he says is both exciting and filled with pressure.
