Orange Assistant Coach Mike Hopkins has always been known as a guy who can easily relate to the current Orange players. Young at heart, and having played for the Orange himself, "Hop" can often be just like a twenty year old in a 41 year old body. His ability to be on the same wavelength as College aged "hoopsters" is what often appeals to young recruits, and what allows current SU players to blossom into great College players. But even Hopkins can admit, there are certain aspects to the current College generation that he struggles to wrap his head around.
"I haven't bought into the Twitter thing. I tried to do it a little bit and then I just (couldn't) keep up with it. Facebook, I can't keep up with it, I just don't have the time!!"
But from social media to musical taste, Hopkins prides himself on having an open mind, and giving just about everything a try.
"I like Hip Hop, I like Rock and Roll, I'm a Pearl Jam fan. Pearl Jam forever man!!"
