As the team is still disappointed by not making the NCAA Tournament, the Syracuse women's team is preparing for it's first WNIT Tournament game against Monmouth. The Orange finished the year with 22 wins and will be the third straight season that the Orange qualify for the WNIT. But the players and coaches believe that they could have been in the field of 64.

"We thought we scheduled right, we knew we had to win ten games in our conference, and we did that. And we didn't get in. But its one of those where you have to put it back on yourself. We could have won one or two more conference games and we wouldn't be having this issue right now" said head coach Quentin Hillsman.

"We were hopeful for the NCAA, but I mean everything happens for a reason. And we're making the best of our situation and definitely going into a tough NIT tournament." Erica Morrow stated.

The Orange host Monmouth Thursday at 7:00 P.M at the Carrier Dome. Tickets are $11.00 and will be broadcasting on ESPN Radio 97.7 FM.
