Jamesville-Dewitt wins 4th straight New York State hoops Title

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (AP) - Tournament MVP Dajuan Coleman had 22 points and 16 rebounds as Jamesville-DeWitt cruised to its fourth straight championship with a 66-51 win over Harborfields in the Class A final Sunday at the New York State Boys High School Basketball Championships.

Tyler Cavanuagh added 22 points and 13 rebounds for the Red Rams (22-3), who led wire-to-wire. Nick Fessenden led the way with 18 points and 19 rebounds for the Tornadoes (21-3). Harborfields was held to just 29 percent shooting from the floor.

Sixth-time finalist Jamesville-DeWitt, from Onondaga County in Section 3, reached the finals with a 61-52 win over Aquinas Institute in Saturday's semifinal round.

First-time finalist Harborfields, out of Suffolk County in Section 11, got to the championship with a 55-48 victory against Byram Hills in the semifinals.
