In three of the last four games the SU Men's Lacrosse team played, the contest was decided by one goal, while it seemed far-fetched to think it at times, Sunday's game with Duke almost made that happen again.

The Orange raced out to leads of 4-0, 8-1 and 13-6 en route to a 13-11 victory over the defending National Champions from Duke.

The Orange scoring was balanced, with several players tying with a pair of tallies. It was a special victory for John Galloway, the West Genesee alum won his 52nd game in net for the Orange, setting the NCAA record.

Syracuse (8-0) is next in action Saturday, on the road at unranked Princeton.
