Lacrosse fans in Central New York really couldn't ask for a better night of championship action on Tuesday.
Three Girls Championship games were decided by a total of 5 goals, and in the end West Genesee, Oswego, and CBA were crowned champions.
Starting with the nightcap, B'ville rallied after trailing 5-2 to tie West Genesee at 10 goals apiece. That's when Wildcats' Emily Tripodi hit Erica Geremia for what would be the game-winning goal with 36 seconds left. With the win, West Genny has won 5 straight Section III Championships.
The Class B game was the matinee affair, with Oswego controlling action most of the way against Carthage, but the Comets rallied to keep things close. The Bucs though, were able to weather the storm and beat the Comets 15-14 for the Section III Championship,.
In Class C, CBA scored the final four goals of the game and it proved to be just enough, as the Brothers beat Skaneateles 12-9 for the Class C Crown.
All teams move on to the State Quarterfinals at West Genesee High School on Thursday.
