The West Genesee Girls Lacrosse team was feeling right at home in their State Quarterfinal game with Corning, and that was mostly because they were playing at home. It's not often you get to actually play a State playoff game on your home turf, but the Wildcats took full advantage with a 10-5 victory. Emily Tripodi was an assist machine for West Genesee, notching 6 helpers while chipping in with a goal. Katey Hart contributed with a Hat Trick, while Kata Dattellas had two goals.
Earlier in the day in was the CBA girls improving to 17-and-3 on the season with a 20-7 Class C State Quarterfinal win over Maine-Endwell. Caroline Webster scored five goals while Marisa Romeo contributed with 4 goals and 5 assists in the victory. The Brothers will now take on the Section 1O Champions this Saturday.
Oswego completed the Section III Quarterfinal sweep on Thursday with a 10-7 win over Horseheads. Taylor Giglio and Mikayla Place both led the way with 4 goals each.
